With  new advancements in cancer research and treatment, there is now hope for those battling this disease.  However all new research may not be directly applicable to our patients and the benifit are marginal in some cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-color\" style=\"color:#0645e5\"><strong>KCC Meaningful Cancer Update 2023 <\/strong>is a program organized by the Kathmandu Cancer Center&#8217;s  Research wing with aims of updating practicing oncologists in Nepal  about latest in cancer research that can have a direct impact in  day to day oncology practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/post.php?href=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.facebook.com%2FKathmanduCancerCenter%2Fposts%2Fpfbid08Uoi7yafC6NgVNUST9Eprz31AVM3jCio3dF881fgqADeW3TpRjfsPLnLnTRzxCU6l&#038;show_text=true&#038;width=500\" width=\"500\" height=\"781\" style=\"border:none;overflow:hidden\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; picture-in-picture; web-share\"><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote has-text-align-center has-medium-font-size\"><blockquote><p>The program will focus on  <strong>ten  recent practice-changing papers<\/strong>  that have real-world impact. The research papers cover different aspects of cancer care, including diagnosis, treatment, and palliative care and most importantly they are relevant to Nepal&#8217;s context.  <\/p><cite>&#8211; Dr. Simit Sapkota<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The program is expected to have real-world impact, as the research papers presented are practice-changing. This means that the information presented can be used by healthcare professionals to improve cancer care in Nepal. This is especially important given the increasing incidence of cancer in Nepal and the limited resources available for cancer care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The program coordinators for the event are Dr. Anjani Kumar Jha, Dr. Subhas Pandit, and Dr. Simit Sapkota. They  have selected broad range of topics which are common problems faced by clinical oncologist in day to day practice and needs  to be addressed in scientific way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KCC Meaningful Cancer Update 2023 is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in cancer care  and research to learn about the latest advancements in the field. With their combined expertise, the event promises to be a highly informative and engaging experience for all attendees. The 15-minute presentations followed by 5 minutes of discussion will ensure that each speaker has ample time to share  insights on respective topic , while also allowing for meaningful dialogue and exchange of ideas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The most exciting aspect is that the participants and presenters\/ speakers can earn a Continuing Medical Education (CME) credits of 3 upon completion of the conference. Moreover, the program is planned for just a half day long with a total of four hours in order to fit into the attendee&#8217;s busy schedule.
