Dr. Ritu Lamichhane

Dr. Ritu Lamichhane brings specialized expertise in pediatric hematology and oncology to Kathmandu Cancer Center. After completing her MD in Pediatrics in the Philippines, she pursued a highly competitive FIAP fellowship at Tata Medical Center, Kolkata, focusing on childhood cancers.

She is passionate about improving survival rates for children with cancer in Nepal through early diagnosis and standardized treatment protocols. Her work includes the management of pediatric leukemias, lymphomas, and solid tumors.

Dr. Ritu is also an active advocate for childhood cancer awareness, frequently organizing events and speaking on the importance of specialized care for young patients.

Dr. Ritu believes that treating a child with cancer requires a compassionate, family-centered approach. She ensures that treatment is not only medically sound but also supportive of the child's emotional and developmental needs.
